This is an old castle occupied by the Seigneurs de Marbais in 1219.
At the centre of the courtyard, there is a massive slate keep from the 12th of 13th century with 3 levels.
This is a rare example of a fortress from this period. Its walls are 1.8 m thick. It was burnt in 1554 by the King of France Henri II.
